Cable TV at the Vines

The Vines has been investigating alternatives to the recent digital migration of our cable television provider. The decision to go digital has caused our residents to loose service. In large part this is due to an outdated signal distribution system within the facility. But also, most of our residents still have analog only televisions. Of the alternatives we investigated our objective was to minimize the initial expense to our residents and provide a reasonable upgrade path for the future. One company, Wide Open West has agreed to provide analog service to our facility for the next three years and to update the signal distribution system to become digital capable. This means no converter boxes for three years. Three years for our residents to invest in digital capable televisions. And options of other providers after the three years are up. We at the Vines felt this was the best solution and helps keep everyone’s costs down. We expect the conversion to Wide Open West to be completed in late July.
